Our health and safety trainers are qualified and experienced professionals with an appropriate background in health and safety management. All consultants are experienced in delivering engaging health and safety training, and hold professional membership (ASOSH).
Intructor Rules
The ASOSH promotes safety leadership development in four important safety categories:
-Advanced Safety Certificate Program -Lift Truck Operator, all classifications -Become an OSHA 10- and 30-hour instructor -Safety Development for Supervisors -Work Zone Safety
Create a knowledge base inside your organization by learning to teach critical safety skills and best practices:
-Supervisors’ Safety Development Program teaches supervisors to integrate safety into daily management process -Train forklift operators to operate safely and to meet OSHA requirements -Learn work zone supervision to interpret, adapt, evaluate and establish temporary traffic control plans -Become an OSHA-authorized 10- and 30-hour instructor -Get certified to deliver flagger training -Become a flagger training agency
THIS COURSE COVER
-The business case for health and safety, including health and safety law and the importance of health and safety in the workplace -Common hazards and controls including fire safety, COSHH (chemicals and harmful substances), working at heights, display screen equipment (DSE), manual handling, slips & trips, and work equipment safety -The risk assessment process and its importance in health and safety -The importance of behavior in health and safety – achieving the safe place and safe person approach
In addition, we will explore modern trainer training techniques:
Planning and preparing to train, including the writing of trainers plans -Delivering effective training -Different learning styles using the Honey and Mumford approach -Dealing with difficult delegates -Providing feedback and assessment
